Cool L67 shortblock and 70mm turbo questions

Hey, everyone. I have a few questions regarding a project I'm taking on right now. I would like to use an L67 shortblock, ZZP CNC heads, a Stage 4 cam from Intense, a ported lower intake manifold, aluminum L26 upper intake manifold with the ZZP HV3 insert, a 97 L67 throttle body with a modified MAF sensor, custom exhaust to and from a turbo manifold, and a 70mm turbo - possibly the GT4294. I plan to build up an F40 6-speed transmission and hook it up to the engine and then shove this combo into my 94 SSEi.

Some reasons I have are that the 94 has almost 300,000 miles on it. The engine and transmission have each been rebuilt a couple times and were always beaten by the previous owner, even after the rebuilds. I have tried to fix up the Series 1 and 4T60E-HD, and the combo has been doing well for my 12,000 miles of ownership. The problem is that the Shift Solenoid B wire on the transmission had broken off and caused weird TCC lockup in both 3rd and 4th.

The supercharger'* rotor coating had worn off, and even though I put in a new coupler, the engine ran lean and overall was shoddy for having only about 120K past its last rebuild. The oil was really gooey when I first changed it after buying the car. It was pretty nasty. Overall, though the engine runs solidly and would work right now if it weren't taken apart somewhat, it just wasn't fun to keep working on a car when the money to fix it could be going into making it have 500 HP.

I know you may have quite a few questions to ask me to see how this thread will progress. Let me know what you think, where you would go with this by yourself, and so on. Right now, I have wholesale cost access to CompCams products, the turbo, and possibly the transmission. The transmission build-up will likely be very expensive and not wholesale, and welding will be done by my friend and me. I live a half an hour away from PRJ Performance, 3 hours from Intense, and 4.5 hours from ZZP. Welding and custom parts are also either close or here, and I have quite a few engine parts and an L67 in my garage right now plus another L67 coming up. I'm painting the car by myself and mostly doing the engine work by myself as well, but an engine shop will take care of boring over a bit and putting in bearings.

My list right now consists of 130# springs, ZZP CNC heads, 65# injectors, JE 8.0:1 forged pistons, a 0.020" bore, new bearings, removed balance shaft, heavier timing chain, maybe stronger pushrods, undecided on the lifters, Stage 4 Intense cam, ported LIM that I have on hand, L26 UIM that I have already, an L67 TB I have but still I need a MAF modification for it to use it for the turbo setup, and I'm doing all custom piping for the turbocharger. The F40 will be rebuilt by a local transmission shop. Let me know how to continue this thread.

Thanks!

Sounds like your main purpose here is to think outside the box, But.... your still hanging on to the concept that boost is the only thing that can make a 3.8 save face . Never been much for boost. Your build has been discussed alot. So here'* a fresh slant. You could bore the block .30 over, turn the crank .10 over. High compression pistons with valve relief. Slip a Cower Pro series cam in with a Needle bearing camshaft thrust bearing. 3 stage a pair of Buick 4.1L heads. Use an Edelbrock high rise manifold with the TBI adapter mated to a bored out rejetted GM 4.3 TBI.
