Exhaust

Whats the point of putting straight pipes? Sure it makes your car louder but wouldnt it decrease HP instead of having a nice muffler?

To some extent, it depends on what you drive. If you're SC, it doesn't affect you as much, but you do need SOME backpressure. If you're NA, this will kill your hp even worse.

I'm not aware of any 3800's that have done this. Probably a good thing!

Most cars aren't routed for straight pipe exhaust either, so don't waste your time. :?

so say me and my friend were making a 3800 Rail buggy (we are) say we wanted to make it as close to straight pipe as possible then could you combine all 6 cys into two like 2" pipe and recreate that pressure without loss of the cackle that sounds SOOO nice on a stright 3.8 :-D (he reved hit 65hp VW railbuggy i revved the 3800 we both agreed the 3800 won esp when we blew the window out of an old car he had sitting nearby and the neighbors came'a runin .. 8) We had fun that day...
