Just wondering if you could modify somehow, I have a rice-pipe now but I want something not-so-cheap if you know what I mean.

I keep hearing this "too big" comment but so far there is nothing to support it. If I were to design a duct for this application I would start with a large plenum. That is the complete opposite of a small tube.
My engineering background and intuition says this is a myth. Please set me straight! :?:

If I had the experience that your response answered my question I would not have posted this. I didn't pursue it any further in the other thread because it wasn't on topic. But it came up again here with the same lack of substantiation.
What is this group for if we cant get real hard facts. All I hear so far is regurgitation of previous hearsay with nothing to back it up.
I have expertise in areas that indicate there is something to question. It is entirely possible that there are circumstances and design priorities that I have missed. If I have missed something, how else to find out. I am asking.
If I came on here and claimed I got fifteen horsepower from a little dohickey and didn't back it up with dyno data, you would laugh me outa here! ESPECIALLY if it was something that went against everything you knew about cars!
If you don't know the answer, then just say so. But please don't keep me from getting to the bottom of this.
