Writing in the Nose.
I replaced the coupler in my supercharger today. First off there was no form of silicone or gasket on the super charger nose cone section, just scuff marks like it had been machined. Secondly there was writing on the inside of the cone. I was all just numbers, some etched(not factory etching) and then there was a number in permanent marker. Is that normal or what could possibly have been done to my */c?

It'* possible it'* been opened. I don't recall seeing any writing inside the shout on all the superchargers I have opened. There is also no gasket on the supercharger. They use a thin film of basically red RTV

Yep, that'* what I thought. Also, is it normal to hear the supercharger itself at idle. As in I don't have the coupler tick anymore, but it still is making a noise and it'* coming from the back of the housing not the snout. I still get great boost though, so I'm don't think is robbing any hp, but I kinda wonder if a new supercharger, might need to be budgeted for...

Where would I start? I am pretty sure its in with the rotors. They looked fine when I had the nose off and I checked everything.
