gutted my airbox on my 97se feels quicker or is it me?
gutted out my airbox and left in my k@n filter and car feels like it has more power now or is it just me imagining it i don't think that i'm driving the car any different than i was before i did it or maybe i am sounds like a hoover when you cold start it just wanted some input on it thanks

The first mod I did to my car was an air box gut. I didn't feel any HP gains, but there was some throttle response improvements. Like Dan said..it'* more about hearing the difference and then believing it makes a bog difference.

exhaust is next and gonna do a 180 thermostat hood scoops and already have the vht niteshades just need time to do it within the next wk gonna detail the car and have somebody put pics up for me not that handy on the computer i use the one at work here don't have one at home lol!

tell me about it i usually get carried away with exterior accessories first you know ventshades moonroof shade bra mudflaps tinted windows(which i had to scrape off because i got pulled over) windshield sticker and eye brow on back window i know i got a little crazy lol!

Yeah everytime I have added a K&N the biggest improvement I could feel was in part throttle midrange acceleration. While was gutting my airbox I took a look around and now im doing the cia thing. I jumped right over the buying a K&N panel filter step LOL
