Removing Balance shafts
I was just talking to my Shelby Dodge Mechanic and he told me he had just removed the balance shafts from a friends car.
This got me thinking about removing the balance shafts in my Bonneville.
Other than extra engine vibration what else would happen in the bad news column?
Would removing them cause extra knocking or other noises which would cause the knock sensor or some other sensor to retard timing?
On the Shelby Dodge 4-cylinders removing them is good for 10-15 hp. Would that be a likely # on our cars?
Thanks in advance,
Stylez
