Default Gatorback belt on a L27 or L36

I was noticing in Willwren'* signature that he has Gatorback belts. I have seen them used on the Shelby Dodge cars also. It is my understanding that they don't slip as much.
My question is are they worth putting on a NA car as far a power is concerned?
Thanks in advance,
Stylez

IT"* a precaution action much like the 180 T-stat.. it won't help you gain anything.. but it helps prevent things runnin as it should be.. if you're not due for a belt change.. don't worry about it.. but if you are.. then go for it..

I will have to agree with Drifter. If you need a new belt go for it. I put mine on about 6 months ago and it seems quieter. It was only $5.00 more than the standard replacement through Autozone. I think it was $34.99 and the Kelly Springfield was $29.99. The think I like the best about it is that it is already groved on the underside so it should cut down on cracking.
