West Coast Slug Fest Crown!
DrJay and I are heading to the track at the local base.......we got his car running NICELY! Time to get my *** whooped.
Track is a straight runway (retired). Not street racing here. I figured if the inevitable was about to happen, I better be part of it.
Got most of his 'tuning' fixed from the performance build. Still a few minor issues, but he should be in the 13'* soon quite easily. Very impressive. His wife puked in the car.
So we're off to the track as soon as I wipe the grease off my hands and his keyboard......then it'* off to Oregon for me.

Ok. He'* got me by a second on the 1/4 probably, which puts him into the 13'* right now, but he still has some issues regarding heat and KR to deal with. I figure a couple months to the 12'*.
Now my excuses:
1. He cheated! He took out his headlight!
2. I was running a full tank of gas!
3. My trunk was full!
4. I forgot to turn off my fan override!
5. He has Z rated tires!
Is any of this working?

Now here'* the other side of the story....
It was awesome! We did it from about a 17mph roll and right when I launched he was at the back of my car. I didn't expect that. From there I walked away and kept going. I honestly didn't expect my car to be that fast, I've never had a chance to race another Bonneville so I didn't know how fun it would be.
Now for my counter-excuses
1. My passenger window was all the way down (oopsies)
2. My sunroof was set to vent (ok I'm dumb, he says his too)
3. My backseat was almost as full as his trunk (ok, no AS much)
4. Still some issues to work out (4deg KR)
5. Ok I had my headlight out but he'* got a home-made ram air!
But you don't need excuses when you win
I have to credit him for helping with my engine though. He helped me pick out and install the K&N filter and picking the plugs. Not to mention the scantools help.
All in all it was AWESOME! I'm too excited to type more

2. Mine was in vent also. And it'* better, so it was open WIDER.
3. No way! Everything in your back seat is plastic! Nothing but fans, shrouds, trim, and used condoms!
4. Ok. Gotta go with the KR. It was my scantool that showed it.
5. Your air had to go a shorter distance, and didn't have to turn! That'* a 3/4 second ET difference!
And my INTENSE sticker was dirty!

Any times? Or is this just out in the sticks fun (more fun sometimes).
Now, Lets see some lowering springs, struts, and endlinks put under that car... Is the nitrous being hooked up again?

Yeah suspension is after I finish mechanical/electrical. The whole front raises up pretty damn far when I floor it and thats taking a fair bit out of acceleration. I dunno, we'll see...

Yo. I made it back about 15 minutes ago. It was a fun trip, but I'm tired as hell. We worked on 4 cars total, in Tacoma, Bonney Lake, and Seattle. Good times. Too damn tired to type more. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow!
