Am I told old for all this?
Well my bonnie has 136k miles on it now and has a stock tranny but the engine was rebuilt at 89k (dont know if it ever was they coulda ripped my uncle the last owner off cause it always uses oil before and after the rebuild) but I want to put about a 1 grand or less into the engine once I start racking in some money but think this car is to old to spend money on performance mods?

You should be ok to do some work on it I would not go any thing radicle like turbos or NO2 but a CAI and 180 therm you will have no problem. Just watch the trans that would be the first thing to go out on it

Being that it uses or burns oil you would want to address that first. Then mod it up from there.
My 95 was at 148,XXX when I bought it. 97 was 133,XXX

My uncle owned the car since 50k miles he said it always always burned oil even after the engine rebuild at 89k that cost him $3,000 he took it back and they said the diamond something piston rings needed to set in but its 136k now and still burns about 1/2 qt every 1000 miles or so.......

That old trans is not going to like it if you start doing mods to it. My trans has about 40k on a GM reman and it'* starting to slip. I did an fluid/filter change at 20k too. The main thing that probably did me in was the high shifts. Had it at 6400 for a year and 6600 for a few days then it started acting up. (the trans' pump is past it'* efficiency over 5800)
