mmm exhaust
Well I had my car at my cousins exhaust shop on Friday, for $80 CAD he installed a new 2.5" DPand 304 stainless 2.5" pipe front-back, I had him throw a high flow Magnaflow catalytic converter on ($90) and a Magnaflow muffler ($130) on it. I also installed a adjustable shift modulator on this weekend. My car now shifts a bit harder, and now sounds and runs GREAT. I
don't think I have lost any low-end torque going to the 2.5" exhaust system, but I deffinately find it alot less raspy. I just thought
i'd share my experience with my new parts, the car is deffinately more fun to drive now and i'm lovin' it. Next i'm going to get
a 180 T-stat and then, I am going to do some PEM'* as I have already acquired another set of manifolds for free
I just have to pull them off the car. After those 2 mod'* I am thinking Yella-Terra roller rockers and a raised redline of 6000 or so. Does this sound good to you 3800 gear heads? any respones are appreciated. thanks guys!

6k seems a little up there for even a rockered LN3.
The PEMs and rockers should wake your car up though.
You might have to convert to newer heads to get those rockers to work though?

You won't even need a 6k redline in a LN3 on a stock cam. There is no power being made up in that area, unless you look into a cam, rockers, springs, etc. Plus your heads will not accept the Yella Terra rockers.

I was on the aussie'* site before and, I believe they sell rockers and rods specifically for LN3 motors, I can redline my motor to 5500rpm as it is stock rockers and nothing done to the PCM, so I thought 6000 was reachable, maybe not though? what ya'll think or am I just crazy and heading towards a blown up motor? thanks guys. A cam later on would also deffinately be a possibility......

i think what he is saying is that pushing your redline beyond 5500 isn't really going to gain you anything, since your engine'* power is already dropping off at that point.
