Cross-drilled update
Well, I took her out for a drive, no more annoying shimmy, and brakes are scary grippy Gonna take some getting used to... Don't plan on
pushing them until I've got at least 350 miles on them, to seat them right. I'll keep y'all posted

Ok. Come check mine (and you know how I drive). If the slots don't go to the edge, they can't shed debris and water to the outside circumference. They fill with crud. My RSM'* are so much improved over stock, I'd like to see some hard data and failure analysis regarding this.
My car'* typical running weight is nearly 4000 pounds, and I drive like a banshee, and stop even faster. RSM'* do just fine.
Ok. Come check mine (and you know how I drive). If the slots don't go to the edge, they can't shed debris and water to the outside circumference. They fill with crud. My RSM'* are so much improved over stock, I'd like to see some hard data and failure analysis regarding this.

the slots utilize the inertia and centrifugal motion of the wheel to throw the crap out. Otherwise it would just build up in the slots. Usually the rotors are made of tougher material than stock, I think the RSMs have more kevlar content.

I have heard so many arguments about what is a better rotor and 50 million reasons why one is better then the other. The only true way to find out, is to try em all. And realistically no one goes thru 10 sets of rotors in a cars lifetime.

I have cross drilled and slotted rotors from Rototech and its stops my 4000 lb boat just fine, the slots dont go all the way to the edge, the only way I will be able to compare is to throw some RSM rotors with slots all the way to the edge next time.
Any way you look at it, brakes make your car stop, so get what you feel is best, dont over read the reviews cuz then you will go loopy.
Aftermarket brakes will always be better then stock. If the drill holes in my rotors end up with micro cracks, then I wont ever get em again, and I will go for something different, but I wont know til I try.
Point being, get what you think works best for you and get what you can afford.
