Coating the radiator hose

Would it be possible to coast the radiator hose thats leading to the thermastat with some black satin to keep heat low since my air filter is directly next to it. acctually my filter cone is touching the hose

Shield your filter.

Go easy on the newbs Bill.
Remember, we may be beyond the basics now but new comers still need help.

Trig - it only takes about 30 minutes and $20 to fab up a quick and dirty sheild. You can improve on it after time.
Buy some Reflectix plastic aluminum coated bubble wrap from the hardware store and some aluminum tape.
Cut and tape...cut and tape...cut and tape.

trigga_b 06-03-2006 06:28 PM

yeah i just left the hardware store to get some but the pricing for that tape is ridiculous

2000SilverBullet 06-03-2006 06:43 PM

I can buy that tape at Walmart for $5 a roll.

trigga_b 06-03-2006 07:22 PM

oh yeah im finna go get some now

willwren 06-03-2006 11:54 PM

trigga, please try searching here for your information. It's all been discussed in great detail. It'll take you less than 10 minutes to find all the information you need.

Paul, we try to encourage the noobs to try searching for their information to teach them how to find it themselves. Trigga has been asking alot of questions lately that are all here in the databsase. He'll be much happier when he gets comfortable searching for his information.
