Coating the radiator hose
 

Would it be possible to coast the radiator hose thats leading to the thermastat with some black satin to keep heat low since my air filter is directly next to it. acctually my filter cone is touching the hose

do you have any suggestions with what type of material and where would i get the reflective insulation from?

Trig - it only takes about 30 minutes and $20 to fab up a quick and dirty sheild. You can improve on it after time.
Buy some Reflectix plastic aluminum coated bubble wrap from the hardware store and some aluminum tape.
Cut and tape...cut and tape...cut and tape.

yeah i just left the hardware store to get some but the pricing for that tape is ridiculous

I can buy that tape at Walmart for $5 a roll.
