I looked threw the service manual and this was all I was able to find.

Ensure the arrow on top of the piston or the markings made during removal face towards the front of the engine or are in the same location as when removed.

I'm sure pistons are right , just not sure about connecting rods , bought motor in boxes torn apart already . I know the rods have been off the pistons. They don't have a dot or anything to clue me in the right direction they go , casting number on rod is 669 ?

I looked over the service manual and didn't see anything about the rods going on the pistons one way or another. Only that the piston goes in the right way. Be careful putting everything back in. don't touch the bearings with your bare fingers, the oils and acids on your skin will etch them. Also put a bolt threw the rod/cap hole and cover that bolt with a rubber hose. That will protect the crank surface.

Here'* what I found in the service manual.

Install the connecting rod and piston pin. The connecting rod can be installed in either direction. Push the piston pin in until it bottoms against the installed piston pin retainer.
