Default Stage ratings for Engine Mods.??

Just an idea.
Maybe we could refer Stage ratings to our Bonne engines based on hp.
This is what I mean.
240 - 280 hp --- Stage 1 - cold air, pulley
280 - 320 hp --- Stage 2 - Stage 1 + exhaust, pulley and PCM
320 - 360 hp --- Stage 3 - Stage 2 + cam, pulley, intercooler
360 - 400 hp --- Stage 4 - Stage 3 + heads, engine work, pulley
400+ ------------ Stage 5 ...........????

umm... that might be a more exact system if it measured hp/tq added, not total, cause 240hp out of my 170hp is quite a mod for stage 1.....

I guess I was referring only to the L67 supercharged version of the 3800.

I doesn't mean that we couldn't have Stage ratings for your N/A 3800 engine too.

170 - 190 hp - Stage 1
190 - 240 - Stage 2
240 - 280 - Stage 3
280 - 320 - Stage 4
320 + ----- Stage 5

That'* just a 5 second initial stab at it but you know what I mean and could probably fill in the required mods for each Stage better than I can.

I think as oppossed to stages, it would be better to post approximate 1/4 mile times.

ahh...like the intense website? We could do a separate techinfo article for L27 and L36. L67 already has one at the intense website (could be ZZP im not sure).

If you can get past Stage 3 L27 mods...you're spending a tad too much time on that engine.

With some proper planning, I think those ratings will work out well.

Good Idea silver. For us 3800sc owners, i think you need to change your stage 1 info. Dosen't a 3.4 pulley add 25hp and 50tq? Just pointing out your TQ numbers are a little low.

Gotta thow headers in there too.
