Default New times after Jet Stage 2 chip

Well, it finally dried up enough, so I jumped in the car and ran some times with a borrowed G-tech meter. I started out with a bad scratch and my first time was 0-60 in 8.2, with a 1/4 of 16.54 @ 85.4! That SUCKED! Then I realized not only was my launch shitty, but I had also left it in normal shift, and was limiting my shift points Note.....the water injection will not be running til next spring/summer, when the smaller pulley goes on.

Warmed up the tires real good, cuz I'm replacing them this month anyway, and here'* what I got in three runs:

0-60.....1/4.....@mph
7.0......15.1......93
7.1......15.2......91
7.1.....15.1......92

My third run I let her go until I chickened out at 142mph. Turtle still has the bragging rights for top end.

I'm running pretty close to a stock Series 2 L67 now, which is pretty good for an old dog. After the tires and smaller pulley, I'll be more than satisfied. I'll check and see what difference the ADTR intake makes if the weather permits this weekend.
DISCLAIMER- I don't know how accurate the G-tech meter is, but it has to be better than a stopwatch in the hands of the co-pilot. Remember that these times from the G-tech DO NOT include driver reaction time. My track times wouldn't be nearly this good, especially at my age. I'll take the 7.0/15.1/93. Decent bragging rights for a 93 SSEi.

Bill,

I thought you had enough at 137!! I really appreciated the fact that you told the truth about how light the front end feels...hell losing the wheel weight scared the crap out of you.

Now you go out and do it again! Be careful! Say you did it once and let it go! The last thing we need is for someone to kill themselves trying to break the BC speed record!

The road beckoned.......sorry guys. Seriously, I knew how close I was to Turtle'* 145, and I was on a straight empty road, but in the back of my mind the little voice of prudence was telling me how stupid this was. Especially with borderline tires......and no ABS.

I'd personally like to see Turtle'* 145 stand for all eternity, with no attempts to break it. Too spooky. The only reason I did the 137 was to prove the speed limiter was gone with the new chip. The only reason I did the 142 was......ummmm.......ok, sheer stupidity, but even old people are allowed that every now and then

Maybe you can get hector to sell a couple of them, and test one out for hector so you can get one free... he he he lol... Keep addin that power... Soon you'll be at 6.7 6.8 6.6 0-60.... Damn quick if I do say so myself....
The M62 was used from 92-95. M90 came out in 96. Go up to Techinfo, Specifications. I posted some data on them. I have the CAD drawings of them somewhere around here, and I know the M90 is a bit fatter. Might pose a problem with my fuel rails.

I don't know if the M90 will bolt on. Gotta check the bolt patterns. Hmmmmm......

I will break that speed with the turbo kit for the L36 since turbos just keep making more and more power as you go faster.

Typically GM does it by adding more boost. Or opening the exhaust. But probably the boost.

Not necessarily. You have to remember that'* roots blowers are only so effecient. Just because you make the pulley smaller doesn't mean the Eaton will be able to produce more boost. After after 10 psi or 15,000 rpm the Eaton M62 becomes way too ineffecient and is not worth your time. If you really wanted to make power you have to ditch the Eaton altogether and move on to more effecient forced induction systems.

Actually the Eaton M90 isn't exactly "more effecient", it just displaces 90 cubic inches every rotation rather than the M62 which is 62 cubic inches per rotation. It'* just displacing more air, not necessairly more effecient or spinning faster.
