Default SCPerfomance update

Still no luck contacting them. I've just sent an email to every combination of email addresses I could think of that might reach them.

The page that comes up at their old internet address isn't affilliated with them, and the guy has no idea why SCPerformance'* website links to them.

I also sent an email to Pulley Boys to see if they know anything. The last time I talked with Tom at SC Performance, he mentioned they may start selling the Pulley Boys product line, so I'm hoping there was some contact there.

I'll keep everyone updated as my replies come in.

Wait and see what I come up with.

Here'* what I just sent back to Pulley Boys in response to their rapid response:

__________________________________________________ __________________

Glad to hear back from you! Myself and another of our members have had bad experiences with SC Performance. He is still waiting for the belt that should have shipped with his pulley some 5 months ago. I ordered a pulley and belt 2 months ago, and the company has since 're-organized'. I think they were bought by a larger fish.

When I ordered my pulley, I gleaned as much info for our members as I could, and that'* when your product line was mentioned. I assumed they had talked to you, but it appears I'm in error. I believe they were at least intending to ask you if they could market your pulley line.

It appears that I'm out the money, as they won't return phone calls or emails. I'm just glad it didn't happen to anyone else before I blew the whistle. The entire forum is waiting to see what I can dig up.

The Bonneville Club was created just over a year ago. We now have 550+ members, with 2 or 3 new members joining a day. We expect to be well over 1500 members strong by this time next year. There'* a whole new 'younger' generation gaining interest in the Bonneville. Most of our members are 16-20 years old, and most are looking for 'bolt on' horsepower. I seem to be one of the 'old farts' at 35. We're also linked pretty closely with another newer, but much smaller club, Bonneville Attitude www.bonnevilleattitude.com We support other cars besides the Bonneville. Mainly other GM "H" bodies like the Buick LeSabre with identical powertrains, and other cars with the supercharged engine such as the Grand Prix and the Buick Regal GS and Buick Riviera. Some of our needs are unique enough to the point that the massive support for the Grand Prix doesn't meet all of our needs. For instance, the Grand Prix never saw the L67 Series I Supercharged engine, so the only pulleys available through their sources are the M90 series.

We have a specific need for support with the M62 Eaton in the 92-93 and the 94-95, as well as the M90 running 96-current production year.

What I'd like from you is a listing of offerings for this breakdown in years. It gets confusing sometimes as the 92-93 and 94-95 had different stock pulley sizes. Many of our members are also interested in a 'professional opinion' regarding heat degradation and what magic point this begins to happen on the M62 or M90. Getting this information would prove invaluable to us as well as you. I can post your reccommendations in our Techinfo section for quick ring interest in the Bonneville. I would also like nothing better than to be able to kill the link to SC Performance and put yours in it'* place. I've heard good things about you, and it'* critical that we be able to count on solid customer service. I think we'll get that from you.

If you could take the time to answer a few of our questions, it would be greatly appreciated by all, and I look forward to a partnership of sorts in the future. We have 3 performance sites that work closely with us, and it would be nice to add a 4th, since none of them support our pulley needs. All of our members appreciate the 'personalized' service we get from time to time.

Thank you for your time.

Nice letter. I hope it gets their attention. While you are at it, maybe you could send a similar letter to High Performance Pontiac, asking to see them add more material on the Bonnies. Heck, I could think of a bunch of other places that need to hear from us as a group as well. PAW, K&N, FlowMaster, etc.

There are few modified Bonneville'*. One is Scott Cook from Intense. There is also Turtle but that'* about it. I will be modifying my car as well but I am taking my time and figuring out how I am going to take it, either power or more road handling.

Hector, I think this is a "chicken or the egg" scenario. There'd be more modified bonnies, if there were more parts made that were either exclusive to them, or advertised as being usable for them.

Then again, there'd be more parts if there were more people asking for them, and one way to do that is to have magazines feature the modifications. A couple of you guys have tweaked them pretty well from what I see here. Why not invite the magazine crews to do a story or a photo layout?

Or, you can wait until all my mods are done, and I do so...

Well iRocco, you have a 00' SSEi so you can run all the ZZP and Intense products. But if we want to get Bonneville'* in the magazines, we have to do some custom or different work or just make them fast. I am rethinking how ADTR will continue on Bonneville development. Right now I am looking to develop the products that will have a future and not just ones that will sell just one. Right now for the L36 I believe Ported and Polished heads that are under $1000 dollars and are for use with the stock L36 cam and can give 20-30HP and equal torque have a future. Same with a sheetmetal intake manifold, properly tuned can give between 10-30 HP, alot of R&D on that one. Also same doing suspension work as well. Getting a Bonneville to handle decently. I am doing my car slowly making sure to design things properly and will eventually test my car at Willow Spring Racetrack a few times to get an idea of how I amt now for the L36 I believe Ported and Polished heads that are under $1000 dollars and are for use with the stock L36 cam and can give 20-30HP and equal torque have a future. But I got off topic. A Magazine crew usually picks people up at shows, there are none out here that High Performance Pontiac goes to here in SoCal which is weird. I think it'* mainly Detroit and East Coast. I would be willing to do it but later, right now we are doing R&D on alot of cars so its time consuming and expensive. We have to spend our money in the right places. iRocco, if you really want to get into a magazine, do a turbo setup with an L67, no one has done that yet. And it will result in more than 400HPt I got off topic. A Magazine crew usually picks people up at shows, there are none out here that High Performance Pontiac goes to here in SoCal which is weird. Oh, and Will, great letter.

Turbo L67? Hmmm. How about I just take one of them JATO boosters, and strap it to the rear wing?

I am sure I'd have to break new ground to get noticed. I'd just love to see them pay even a little attention to the Bonnie.
