Car left me walking for the first time.

Although I did leave it at the muffler shop. lol... I'm getting him to call me when he gets some qoutes together, Quick... flowmaster, magnaflow or borla? lol... I'm most likly going with flowmaster. I dont have a cat, so I hope its the sound I want. Is magnaflow or borla more of a throaty sound? I dont want raspy or crackles...

I had no cat and a flowmaster 80 series on my 91 toronado trofeo.

How did it sound?
I dont care as long as it isnt raspy or crackly...

I thought it gave it a nice louder tone under acceleration and very deep sound at idle, it was sooo nice. I got it to crackle once though, but that was when i ran the car in second gear and let off of the gas when the rpms were high. But that was the only time. I was impressed, cause i had the stock cat on before that with the flowmaster and i thought it was way to quiet so i took it off and i loved the sound. The only thing i might have done differently was possibly put a glasspack in where the cat was, but i dunno, its all personal opinion. Meijer sells glass packs for $15 so its a cheap add on if needed. Keep me updated.

Sounds great, I hope they have an 80 series in stock. Heck I'll run over to napa and get one if they dont.

You get the exhaust done???

1992 trofeo 04-05-2004 06:30 PM

Oh yea.. all done, but I blew out the little gasket thing or whatever around where the head pipe meats the exhaust pipe. So its very loud up front.

PM Jason and have him show you some clips of different exaust types on his website. If you ask me i'd say magnaflow has the deepest tone.

jgs11 04-05-2004 08:45 PM

Yea, that should be one of those dounut gaskets, that shouldnt be too hard to replace. Let me know how it sounds when you get the leak fixed.

You get your exhaust leak fixed yet?? :?:
