Laying the Foundation
Look what I got today!
So far I've done plugs, wires, and changed the oil.
This list includes:
180* t-stat and gaskets, TB gasket, fuel filter, trans filter, coupler change kit, and parts to make a FWI.
This week I'd like to at least get on the FWI and drop in the t-stat. Next week or two will hopefully involve a trans pan drop, fuel filter change, and if I have the time...tb cleaning and coupler change.
The next step will be digging down and replacing the LIM gaskets with the aluminum ones.
Right now I'm planning to head to Intense this summer to get the stage 1 cam package with SLP headers/cat so I really don't want to go crazy until then. I was thinking about putting on a 3.5 with the MPS in preparation for a 3.2 with the cam/headers. Since I won't have PEMs or a high flow cat I think that would be safer, and there'* no point to upgrade if I'll be upgrading again shortly thereafter. Sound like a good plan guys? I'm open to thoughts and suggestions. FYI my Aeroforce has been transplanted to the SSEi for the time being. Oh yeah, a FULL Intense trans will likely be in order too, although I'm not sure if I'd do it on the same trip.

How many miles on your SSEi? I was playing on doing cam and headers this summer myself (still might) but my trans needs some attention before hand. I say go with the 3.5" for the mean time no need in waiting till you do more extensive mods.

100,600 miles by the way - relatively young in 3800 years. Trans doesn't matter since it'll probably be replaced anyway. Also, in case people are wondering about the intake, I'll be using the same method as my custom intake on the SLE to couple everything together and I'll extend the IAT myself. Obviously this will be in the fender vs a setup using the stock airbox.
