CAI or Rice Pipe size?

CAI or Rice Pipe size?
What size of pipe should i use for the CAI or Rice pipe after the cone to the throttle body.I work at a Ford dealer and the diesels have 3" od pipe approx and 2 7/8" id aprox, coming off the turbo to the rest of the exhuast will that be big enough or not.
