CAI heat shield - New design w/picture
https://img452.imageshack.us/img452/...tshield4nv.jpg
Tried something a little different for a heat shield. Used 1/8" plexi and heat molded 2 pieces that fit together around the base of the filter. I will use a black clamp around the circumferance of the shield to hold it in place so it will match the black filter base. Going for the "nearly invisible" look with this one.. The clamp isn't shown in the picture because I didn't happen to have the one I want and suffice it to say the temporary clamp I'm now using wouldn't look to hot in the picture. Tumbleweed |
looks pretty good... much cleaner than some of the others out there

So when is it that you are going to have time to build mine? :P
Hopefully by the end of this week, because there is some ricer that really wants to race next weekend ;) ;) j/k |
Very similar to my plans when I had an RX 4750. I have a monster heat gun and was going to bend it around.

Logan, Thanks for the reply. I wish I could crank one out for you but man this custom fit stuff takes a lot of time! I probably have about 4 hours in this one and my labor rates are HIGH :D

Looks good. I like the ability to see the filter.

Just curious, what size RX-4750 is that? 6inch, 8inch, or 9 inch? (I think those are the three)
