Water Pump Pulley Broken?
About a week ago I noticed some noise coming from my engine so I checked under the hood while it was running and saw a bit of metal shavings flying out of from where the alternator pulley was so I adjusted the belt and it stopped. Well lately Ive been checking under the hood and what I see is that the belt is half way on and is about to slip off. I took the belt off and checked all the pulleys and the water pump pull is kind of wobbly and is at an angle when the belt is on. Im guessing those shavings were from the water pump and that the only way to fix this is to get a new water pump? This sux bad but what I dread most is installing it. Now Ive replaced lower intake manifold gaskets and that wasnt too hard but will this be way harder and will I have to remove a lot of stuff? My parents want this fixed before I leave for two weeks on Thursday but I dont think thats possible. My dad just wants it to be "drivable" even if that means a loose pulley and I am very angered about this. Please help me. Oh and if I do need a new pump are there any high flow ones out there?

High flow would be self-defeating. Our WP'* cavitate at high rpm'*. What you need is a stock OEM WP. If you had the series 2, you could run the ZZP UNDER drive pulley.

*just covering my bases*
Are you sure all the little bolts that hold the black pulley to the WP are tight?
Changing the WP isn't that bad.
If you have good instructions and all the tools you shold be able to get it done in 2 hours.

Well yea there are 4 little bolts that hold the pulley onto I guess the water pump plate. I didnt see if they were tight enough but when it wobbles I dont see any sign of them being loose but I'll check them out tomorrow. I dont think I would want to install the pump myself as I am getting pretty stressed with having to work on my car so much but if its easy enough then I will do it I suppose.

So I guess I'll have to find me a nice piece of wood for support under the oil pan huh? Alright I'll probably do it but it most likely wont be done this week.
