Default Torque Converter

I am having the trans rebuilt for my L67 build and have a question about the torque converter. The guys at the trans shop said they can get me a reman stock one no problem which has a 1895 stall. They said they can get the same type of converter from a 3.5 oldsmobile with a 2300 stall. Anyone hear of this before? Anyone know of a stock type converter that would work but with a higher stall? Or anyone want to suggest a stall speed and brand converter?

My mods:
XP cam (105# springs)
TOGs
3.4/maybe 3.2 at the track
full exhaust
tune
N*tb
autolite 104s
shift kit
(gen V down the road)
Think thats it.

this car will be driven almost daily for at least a little while so I need a drivable car not a race car.

So what do you guys think?

I have a 3000 stall in my car. A 2300 stall will give you a bit more traction off the line, but the trans will run a little bit hotter and you will notice higher RPMs as you start out. The only problem I see if the bolt pattern. The 2300 might have a slightly smaller pattern. So a different flex plat on the engine might be needed. have him check the pattern on both before installing the 2300.

I cant vouch for fitment but I can say I have a 2500 rpm stall and I love it!!
I dont really notice any more heat build up than stock and its really streetable, till you hammer on it, then winds up to 3 grand in an instant!! Right in the begining of the power band
