bringing her back from car heaven, minor delay of game

hey all,

finally we're bringing back the 92 from car heaven and im going down my checklist and ran into a dilemma.

ages ago i decided to put a CAI on the engine. It was an ebay special. K&N filter is what sold me. After being on the club ive noticed that CAI's like heat sheilds, which mine doesnt have. Should i keep this or do i call intense for their intake? Or, since cash might be tight on this project (fixing things that i wasnt expecting) where do i find a stock airbox?

get a stock box from the yard, or boosty

otherwise, fab up some cardboard/plexiglass/etc to make a heat shield out of... its not hard

My last one was made of CB wrapped in reflectex insulation and reflectex aluminum tape. Make sure ya fab up a top fer it also and fully enclose the filter.

Thats my last one was made of until I got my FWI

An INTENSE FWI is the last intake you should be looking at for a 92. Your TB is far too small, and you can't even come close to flowing what the FWI was intended for. This will result in non-laminar flow.

I'll move this topic to the right section for you. 92-99 is for posting mechanical problems, not discussing performance topics.
