if you think the drums suck then i suggest that you properly adjust the rear brakes so they are functioning properly...Rear discs really dont make that much of a differences since all the weight is put on the fronts when stopping.....

yeah but they still suck, they are hard to work on, not as good at stopping, UGLY, and you know they could afford to give people the option of some rear ones!

maybe everyone that thinks the Brakes suck needs to do a fluid flush, and better pads & rotors....I know a certain 97 SSEi that can slow down from 120+ w/o any problems, and w/o fading over and over again

Upgrade your front rotors and pads, and put some good quality OEM rear parts in.

And ....ENSURE THE BACK BRAKES ARE ADJUSTED

Stopping a little aggresively in reverse from time to time will keep them adjusted once they have been brought up to speed.

i must have really bad pads because if i do a hard stop from about 100 to 0 or even like 70 to 0...there is this BAD, TERRIBLE, GOD-AWFUL BURNING smell coming from my brakes...omg, it smells like my tires on on fire but i know its my brakes...i guess im doing ceramic next time...its making my wheels look pretty bad too.

Sorry, back on topic
