Question about INTENSE PCM
Here'* the dealio...
I am buying a used PCM from TJ'sBlackBonne, and it'* out of a 2000 SE.... When I am ordering the PCM off of intense'* website, I am guessing I want a Standard PCM, but when it asks what I am doing, do I want to select "send my pcm in to be flashed",or "i have a "1998-2005 PCM and I will pay $100 for core change"?
also, any particular programs I should get besides the "standard pcm"? I don't really know what I am doing.
Any suggestions and answers are greatly appreciated of course!
thanks

If you have a spare and it'* good, I'd send in the spare to get it flashed(send my PCM to get flashed option), then swap when you get it back. There are problably some little intricacies such as case learn, security learn that you may need to address. Todd at Intense, or even many of the members here will be able to help you with that. That'* my buck o'five.

got it today!
After hooking it up and calling Bill wondering why it started when it shouldn't of (when attempting to do the Security Learn) it rides fast....
took it to a friends where he used his snap-on tool to do a case learn which took all of 2 minutes...
when I drove it before the case learn, it felt great but like it didn't belong, after the case learn it felt like it belonged... Can't really tell you any specifics, but it just felt right, maybe it was a mental thing.
Thanks again for everyones help, and TJBlackBonne, and his brother for the PCM!

Glad you like it.
Sometimes if the OS doesn't need to be changed (I.E. there are no updates from GM and you have the latest code already) a security learn doean't need to be done (the car will start right away).

now are my fans supposed to stay on after I shut the car off automatically with the standard pcm, or was it another option I didn't add? Because of right now, they don't stay on. Not that I really need them to stay on, just remember hearing people say that they do.
