Gague needle idea
I have a thought...i know that it is possible for the needles to be removed form the cluster. now would it be possible to get a set of pointers off another GM car or truck and use them on our car? I dont necessarly want to do this.....just something that popped into my brain, if someone wants aftermarket gagues in the A pillar, noone makes orange pointers
doable??....any thoughts

You can, and people have [maybe not for Bonnevilles, but for other cars]. However, I ruined my speedo because I wore out something on the needle, and when I went to put it back on, it would never stay. So, a word of caution, this could end out ruining your cluster.

The whole part goes onto a very small needle like post that turns. It'* very possible to rig something up, i'm sure other GM dashes of the simlar era work.
Modifying the needles leaves something to be desired though.
