yeap... i'm a newb. just curious as to what the largest tire size you guys have squeezed under the front end on staock wheels and suspension?

my van comes stock with 205/70R15'* and i've decided to jump the gun and throw some 235/60R15 on the front. i got a good deal on some used tires and steel wheels so if it didn't fit i'd only be out $80 as oposed to like $300. they fit fine lock to lock but the do rub the bottom of the spring perch. just the corner of the tire on the tread, baybe 1/4 inch wide. should i be worried about this? these monsters will only be on for the track until such time as i spend the $300 on a pair of drag radials (read long after the far off engine swap)
