Someone said CAI, $8.36 later, here is what I got....
I'm not about buying premade products if I am able to make my own, so I gave this a shot and now run 10 degrees above ambient, considering I was at about 130 or so IAT'* in the city.. I am quite happy.
What this is made out of.... Autoventshade front window heat blocker, Home Depot gromet for roof pipes, cardboard.
The cardboard will be replaced with sheet metal *as it is now a template* but for now, it'* doing remarkably well.

The ventshades was on clearence for 2 bux and was an awesome color blue
It just has airbubbles in between the foil but it works awesome.
The big ' plastic' piece???? The big black part that goes into the wall is rubber and from home depot.
It isn't fully sealed off, but doesn't need to be. The hood liner rests on top of it to seal it from the top, then I have it run down between the frame and the break lines that go by there. I'll get closer shots later, and could probably make templates in the future upon request.

oh, thats the thing from homedepot. Does anyone know of a good way to seal a CAI other than massive amounts of glue? Is there any tape that can hold up to the heat?

Once I get closer shots you will see why i didn't need to glue or tape this unit in the car, it'* fully sealed as it is right now and all I did was stick it in there, just made it correctly so it fit EXACTLY and it'* gold. It even goes around the wire harness Cardboard owns.
I'll get ya some shots tomorrow. There is high temp tape you can buy.. home depot in the HVAC section, it'* foil tape.

you are lucky, there isnt much over there on the 2000+ models. Some pics would be great, did you just glue the insulation to the cardboard?
