Though my Bonneville engine bay experience ends with 1999, I know I haven't seen anyone here use one. The IAT is pretty good so far with the stock airbox, and I have mine in my 94 reaching all the way to the fender well. As for the 99, it'* in the stock place. I think the 00+ Bonnevilles have a shorter sub-hood area, so you should be set with the stock length.
The extension is probably if you have some strange mod blocking the normal wire path.

Not sure if it is long enough. But if you’re comfortable with a soldiering iron it would be pretty easy to extend the 2 wires yourself.

The Thrasher intake is not designed especially for the 00+ Bonnevilles, they simply modified the Grand Prix version. I would really suggest the INTENSE FWI

fenderwell....fwi
i was considering the intense fwi but am not sure how it would do in water/slush as the filter is under the car ....Wheel well is it not? still sorta on the ropes, I live up in Canada and our winters/ spring can be pretty messy but overall does one work better than the other? I'm pretty new to car mods as my last 2 cars were dodges and not worth even thinking bout enhancing (94 spirit/ 98 neon)

The INTENSE FWI is completely shielded by the splashguards. Almost everyone here with a 00+ that has a modded intake, has the INTENSE FWI. There have been no problems with water/slush.
