I don't know much about that car, but what i do know is how to do one in my bonneville. does your car have the hand brake or the foot parking brake? mine has the foot. all i gotta do is push that down and hold the release at the same time (so it doesn't lock up) this keeps the back wheels from moving and leaves the front wheels to spin away as i push on the gas. don't do it too long, unless you plan on buying new tires LOL. my car can normally spin the tires without doing this. all i gotta do is floor it. (or do a brake torque, that works too.) Have fun!

My wheels, or shall I say "wheel" (LOL), go loose just when I slam the gas from a dead stop. 2 things contribute to this.

1.) Many mods
2.) Stock tires

Getting to the subject, trying to do a burnout isn't probably a good idea with our older 3800 models. When I do it, its on accident....for I need wider street tires.

I saw your pics on your site. Pretty cool. How do you like the MSD coils and wires? How much did you pay for them?

Heres a go0d way, after it rains, put the E-brake on, punch it, wait until it sm0kes, then pull the E-brake release bar. Or when you are about to turn right on a street, punch it, and it should spin pretty go0d, since only one wheel is getting all of the p0wer. But d0nt do any of the above, to0 much or a new transmission, or engine m0unts will be on your next shopping list.

Here'* another way:

Find a road with really clean, now asphalt. Get some really good tires nice and hot for extra stick. Mod the hell out of your car, then romp on the throttle from a dead stop. Make lots of smoke.

If your car won't do it, you can come ride with me

I just got back from college and needed to take a break from writing a final assignment for my lit/phil class. I took my car out and tried holding the ebrake while slamming the gas and holy sh*t. I never knew my car could make such a long strip. Really dark and two tires all the way down. I didn't do it too much though cuz I'm afraid the back tires will drag too much and cause the tires to wear too much on one spot Also, it is so cold up here (19* farhrenheit) and it seems that this is contributing to my car having alot of pep. I was going along at about 10mph and gunned it and the thing still laid rubber. It'* scary how much it seems to have changed. It almost seems like too much power but thats crazy, theres no such thing. At one point, though, I could hardly keep the car straight after burning out along a bend in the road. lol this is fun!!! Cant wait til tomorrow. I'm not even worried about losing the tread on these tires cuz they are the ones wrapped around my ghetto gold rims. They are the tires that came with the car. No biggie.

A beater set of tires would be cool. I should have bought some crappy steel wheels for my old tires last month. *sigh* So much for smokin' fun. These new ones are too nice to thrash very often.

No brake needed here. Like Pontiac1983 said, 10-20 mph, I can floor it and lay rubber. I have always had a traction problem in this thing, but in cooler temps (15-20 deg F) it is a real problem. I can't seem to hook up, let alone go to WOT on a start. I know that it is the touring eagle GA'* that are just not sticky enough. Come spring I'll replace my front tires to match the new Yoko'* in the back.

Me, too. I can occasionally get a good chirp from 1st to 2nd in performance shift. More often with the chip, since it raised the shift points and firmed them up. It'* a good feeling. With passenger and a full tank, it doesn't happen too often, but I can make it happen with low fuel and just myself most of the time. That patented 10-20 rolling WOT dump is phenomenal. Once this beast is rolling, it just wants more. Too bad I can't spend 1000 bucks on tires to make it move as fast as the tires spin sometimes. New tires are much better, but stickier would be cool.
