Transmission bell housing pattern
Does the transmission above have the same bolt pattern as a 4T60? Or, is it the same as a 3800 LN3? The bottom photo is the best I could find of a 4T60
Thank you

Can you please overlay the two for comparison...
There could be a difference of 1/2" and you'd never see it in that picture.
Not trying to be a jerk...just point out the possibility.

Sorry Bill. I googled and searched ebay, but this is the best photo of a 4T60 I could find
I'm thinking they're the same, but hard to tell with the 4T60 pic. The space between the two top bolts seems farther on the 4T60

The 4T60 and the 4T60-E Fit a variety of diffrent engines, from a 2.3L Quad 4( twin Cam ) all the way to the 4.9 Caddy V8... It was attached to both the 60* and 90* V6 engines as well...
Most likely that Trans would be attached to a Quad or a 2.8-3.4 Chevy V6....
was there any info on that Trans and is it a Getrag?

I checked the GM Powertrain website. From that site, and what I know...
A 4T60-E used in a '98 Century will bolt up to a 3800 Series II.
The 4T65-e is used on the current 3800 Series III and also the 3900 (I think the 3900 is a 60 degree V6, and then the Series III is a Buick V6).
A Getreg 5 speed manual used in an early 90s Monte Carlo Z34 and other 3.4L DOHC W-body cars bolts up to a 3800 (shows the 60 degree tranny bolts to a Buick V6).
here'* a photo of a 4T65-E. I'm thinking this will work.
