HID Kit for the Bonnie
What are your thoughts on the HID kits for the bonnie? I have an 02 bonneville btw. Are there any hid kits you would reccomend? Ive been looking on ebay and i found quite a few for 70 bucks shipped. What do you think? Stay away or are they a good upgrade to lighting? Right now i do have silver stars and i like them but im in love with the HID'*.

I have 2 kits in mine, in ohio aftermarket HID kits are illegal in headlights, but i run no front plate, HID lows and loud system, underbody lights and what not and have never gotten stopped
I have never had a problem with any of the ebay ktis for ~$70-100, you want to get the relay harness too, how that works is you use one of the connectors of the headlight to power the coil of a relay and then hook up to the battery (fuse block in the engine bay) and ground (screw in metal) so basically when there is power to the headlight connector it trips a relay to pull power straight from the battery, better for the balasts, and no chance of melting your stock wiring

its not that hard, all the parts are available, unfortunately there isn't too much too see
you can't really mess it up, you put the new bulbs in, connect the wires to the ballast, and they only connect one way, then connect the relay harness to your right low beam connector
then all you have to do is connect the red wire to the fuse block, black to ground then connect the balasts from the relay harness
first time doing it should take maybe an hour, takes me about 10 minutes to throw it together now

any of the $70-$100 kits i have never had a problem with, then for the relay harness about $25, its not required but i reccomend it if you don't want to be buying replacements
i have 8000K in my lows, which is a nice ice blue, 6000K is great for output
i also have 10000K in my fogs, but that is way too blue to have that alone
