Default What size drag slicks?

What size of drag slicks would be ideal for the 1992-1999'*?
I have three different types of rims to use:

1997-1999 GP 16x6.5" 5-spoke rims
1993-1999 16x7" crosslaces
1987-1991 Olds 15x6.5" crosslace rims

I'm thinking I'd like to use the 15" rims as they'd probably be lighter and the 15" slicks would be slightly cheaper.

Would 26" be too tall?
Also, anyone remember what size Jeffreyx2 was using on his 92 SSEi? I remember he had 15" steel wheels off a Lumina, and some really short slicks to improve his gearing, which I'd like to do too.

26" are very close to the height of stock sized 225/60/16'*, so that shouldn't be an issue. I have a pair of crosslaced rims (16") coming to me from Ed Morad so I can try my just under 25" tall 225/50/16 Nitto Drag Radials out...The general consensus seemed to be that the car would not shift properly with the small tires, so I hope that isn't true...They definitely will make the car seem to have steeper gearing than the 306 it actually has (in my case). As soon as the rims show up (early next week), I plan to immediately mount them and make some WOT runs to see what happens...Look for a post about it hopefully mid week, next week...

Use Nitto NT555Rs in 245/50/16 size mounted on crosslace rims.

You can see them in action here;

Foghorn burnout

Don't mind the audio . And I know the exhaust bounced around, I've since replaced the two rubber support rings just behind the cat because they were broken.

Cheers,
