Favorite High-flow Air Filter
I'm looking at getting a new cone filter and was wondering what brand air filter everyone else is using for their intakes? Pro/Cons? Good experiences and bad?

Most people on here seem to use the K&N Rx4750. I have one on mine and I like it, but always open to see new suggestions. Don't go paper. If it holds water, it is a bad filter.

C'mon 30 somthin views and only one favorite air filter, I wouldn't think you'd all have the exact same one. Truth is I'm thinking about going with the *&B Powerstack because it seems like a similar product to the K&N but a little more reasonably priced. It also has a reverse type cone in the front for added surface area over the conventional cone. http://www.intenseperformance.com/pr...e_filters.html Any thoughts?

btw... 30 views is not a lot you're jsut warming up
i dont run the rx4750... i think its to small.. i used to run it on my 95, but now i have a 9" K&N filter...
i dont know of anyone on the club running anything aftermarket other then K&N

*&B 9" cone filter here and love it!
It looks like the *&B filters would flow better then a K&N but can't go wrong with either.

I originally chose the RX-4750 before it even went into production for one simple reason. The Series 1 SSEi'* have a tight spot with the double washer bottle (for headlight washers), and that filter (from the specs I read) fit and filled the small area we had to play with in the most efficient manner possible.
It also provides a location for the IAT, and a broad, flat base for adding a heat shield. You may find something that suits you better, but it'* proven a popular affordable solution for us.
www.ajusa.com has the best prices on it.

I thought a cone would have been a better fit but had no problem with my 4750 and liked not having to make a hole for the IAT (even though it wouldn't have been hard). Can find them for $50-55 and sometimes on sale for less. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me. Especially since all you have to do is wash and re-oil when it gets dirty.
