Default How much boost = compression

I was wondering what the psi to compression ratio is ie. 9.0:1 + ?psi = 10.0:1

((boost psi / 14.7) + 1) x motor compression = effective compression

ok so ((2psi/14.7)+1)x8.5:1=9.656:1 that dose not seem correct but owhell.

So what i was thinking now is if I wanted to add boost I could run a system using my O2 tank from scuba diving that runs at 3500psi and has 100Cu.ft and rework an old regulator to give me as much boost as a want the only trick is setting it for different trottle possitions to open. When I dive with a tank at 3000-2800psi and 80Cu.ft it lasts me about 45min breathing 35psi at atleast 2-3x atmospheric pressure and never running lower than 600psi. So I figure running 10psi or so at arround half throttle would last 3-4hrs at that possition if not longer and more with the larger tank.

I think this would be fun to try some time the tank only weighs 30lbs for the 100 or 35 for the 120 and a fill is only $5 I would rather do this than just spray since i could feather the boost in by a vlave and run it for a week or more depending on how i feel like driving.

Now that i am finished rambeling any thoughts would be good.

it is not just O2 but compressed air I use it to so i can spend long amounts of time under water if it was O2 that would be a problem for me because the O2 just in normal air becomes toxic arround 130ft and the more O2 the sooner the problem would arrise

It would just mostely be bottled boost

Won't work, You can't even support the engine with the CFM from that bottle @ max.

cubic feet per minute. How much air your car uses per minute.

I thought he was just using this as an additive to the normal air taken in? Or is he thinking this would be his only source of air intake???? If he was just somehow realeasing it in to the cylinders at just the right moment I think it would work, it just sounds tricky to do.
