I must be missing something here. I guess I'll go back to wrapping.

What exactly are you asking, Russ?

Glasuan 12-24-2003 12:23 AM

Isn't torque management in newer than 00 vehicles anyway?

Burgundy_Boat 12-24-2003 03:02 AM

sry, only had 1 hand when i typed the first two posts.

anyway, does my car have torque management. and if i disable it(don't mind how), how is my tranny going to hold up?

dbtk2 12-24-2003 12:32 PM

Yeah, your tranny will hold up. For how long, I don't know. Could be 100 miles, could be 200,000 miles. The tranny in the GTP held up to 12 second power for 9 months before showing signs of wear. Not bad for a tranny rated for 280ft.lbs of torque that was having to put up with 450ft.lbs.

I don't believe a 95 has torque management in the PCM. At least not in the same manner (dumber) than the 00+.
