eBay performance "speedchip" question
Check out auction #180129523627. Here'* the link:

There'* a dyno chart. I was just wondering if other auctions also have these. That'* about all, unless someone here says this really works. Then I'd be interested, but for now I just want to know if most chip auctions show dyno charts.

I didn't click it..
99% chance you would be buying a resistor. Radio Shack has them cheaper. The whole idea is that this would trick the pcm into thinking it was colder outside and increase fuel.

It'* a resistor. It will get you (at best) 2-3 degrees of timing, and may cause KR problems for you.
You can buy the resistor at Radio Shaq for under a dollar. Resistance values are in Techinfo.
These are all scams. It'* not a CHIP. In addition, with my happy **** testing, I've found there is 'too cold'. Right now, my car isn't happy if I go below -6 degrees, but I have to watch my fueling and KR like a HAWK.
I only run with mine when I've kicked my octane up quite a bit. I would suggest you don't do it unless you're at the track with higher octane, and even then, it may make no difference.
I think it should be illegal to advertise in the manner they do.

I could see exactly the size it was, and I've seen some guy try to rice out his Ford Focus with one. He came to my house excitedly, popped the hood, showed me his "chip," and asked where in the engine to put it. We let him go gently.
Regardless, though, have you ever seen an auction for one of these things - but with a dyno chart like the one from this one?

If I post a dyno chart ... will you send me money?
We'd be lucky if the chart is actually from them. With all the pics on the internet and PS abilities..it'* easy to toss up a pretty chart to assist sales.

Don't buy it. Don't think about buying it. Its a glorified resistor.
I tried it long ago on my 94 and it was a joke. Maybe some timing for a bit, but the engine'* computer soon compensated.
I like to tell people there is no cheap mod that gives you a benefit in performance, because all you end up doing is obsessing about cheap crap that ends up being a waste of your hard earned dollars.

All right. Thanks for that chart clarification.
Also, so that you may feel better, I do not want to buy it, and I'm not even slightly considering it. Sorry to have upset you if I have, but rest assured that I will not rice out the Bonneville.
