2000 SSEi Tranny Type

First off..my apologies! I'm a Ford guy, but have a Bonnie that is convincing me to change my evil ways! :)

Anyway....How can I tell what tranny model I have in my 2000 SSEi? Is there a tag on the tranny or a sticker somewhere that I can locate? Any help would be appreicated because I'm looking at adding in a shift kit.

Your transmission will be a 4T65HD with 2.93 gear ratio in the SSEi. There is a trans tag that should be located on the back side of the trans over on the passenger side.

When looking for a shift kit, that part is easy and you won't need your tag. I have one by Intense-Racing and love it. Easy to install and works great.

Billboost37 - What transmission fluid did you use to replace the fluid you pulled out when you added in the shift kit?
