Default engine problems

hi i just joined this site today to see if i could get a little help with my car. i have a 1995 bonneville. if i am posting this in the wrong section someone please help to to post this in the right section, but anyway. my car has been running very badly lately. I bought the car from my uncle about a year ago and he was the original owner. it has 94k miles on it. for some reason my car keeps stalling out anytime i let off the gas. at red lights stop signs or even if i just let my foot off the gas while driving. the only way i can come to a stop without stalling is by hold the brake and the gas at the same time and keep my rpms around 1200. it is drivable by doing this but its a huge pain. before it stalls my battery gauge drops all the way down and then the engine shuts off. sometimes i can save it from stalling and sometimes it will save itself. if anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong and how i can fix this it would be great. i read on other forums that people with the same problem said it was the fuel pressure regulator? not sure how much that is to fix or if thats even the problem but i just wanted to ask and see if anyone could help. thank you

Sounds like it might be a bad TPS. Give this test a try and see what it shows.

Try testing the fuel pressure and see what you got. Should be around 45-50. If that'* low you should change the filter. Try pulling the vacuum line off the FPR when you have a fuel pressure tester hooked up.
