Default CAI on a 98 SSEI

Hey guys ive been pushing the idea of a CAI/Fenderwall for a long time. For the price though it seems like a ton....

I saw 2000Bonnie was making them for 150 with the cool painted aluminum. or theres intense at 179 for their fenderwall.

Im just not sure what is good or what i should look for. or if its even worth it

I know there is not HP gain really from it. but i do like the thought of the better sound. Just throwing around ideas seeing what people think

As you mod, you need more airflow.

I put off getting one for a long time and then got the Intense one. It fits great with our body style. Maybe a couple minor mods, but if you look for my name and FWI ...you'll find the pain points you'd run into.

I haven't actually seen a CAI by 2000 yet. Not sure how it would fit in our years.

Thanks for that post i was looking for that. I cant see any of the pictures but think i am understanding the dilema that you had. I really wont know how its gonna work until i get in and get dirty. For now im looking at it as a possibility like the idea of a stronger sounding SC

FWI'* are the way to go for pure shock and awe, trying to stuff a huge filter behind the bumper can be a pain though, and you want to make sure your splash guards in front of the tire are in good shape to keep excess water off the filter.

Me and tom installed his on about 30 minutes just by turning the tires to the right as far as they would go and pulling the splash guard out of the way to get the filter in.
