Opinions on slotted rotors and ceramic or carbon metallic brake pads vs OEM...

Im looking to do my brakes on a 2000 Bonneville SSEi and was thinking about going with slotted rotors and ceramic pads, whats your thoughts on slotted vs standard rotors?
People have said the performance upgrade is nice but being slotted they heat up and cool down alot faster which could lead to them warping. The ones ive looked into say they last about twice as long as OEM and 20-40 percent better braking....any advice?

No, the slotted rotors are designed to expel heat quicker to prevent brake fade and warpage.

Basically, any brake upgrade is better than OEM. Just stay away from the cheap chinese crap on ebay. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

On a more technical note, are you pushing said car faster than OEM specs?

Thanks for the input, thats what i was thinking...
You know of any mid level slotted rotors and brakes brands i should go with? I checked ebay and yea the whole set all around was like $150-$175
I jus bought the car and not sure if im going to tune it up all that much to be pushing a big difference from OEM specs, being i live in MN the winters will be harsh on it, and probably a really good idea being im pushing 20×9 chunk blades as well huh?

I think I've seen a couple people here get them from R1 Concepts Car Brake Rotor Disc - OEM Rotors, Slotted Rotors, Cross Drilled Rotor, Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors, Brake Pads, & Brake Kits

If you are going to upgrade the rotors, might as well get a decent set of pads.

And don't worry about upgrading the rear brakes. 80% is done up front anyway.
