Wow, I didn't know they did that. Only voice modules I've messed with were in K cars. They were wired through the radio.

Well got some information today at a local auto shop. One is for me on the quest to get this dash wired correctly the other is for anyone interested in the Voice/Audio Warning system of these cars.

Enjoy.

Cluster wiring does seem to include prong #'* and Letters so ill have to see if they are clearly labeled on the ports in the dash.

Sucks it dont give a location of the system but like CorvairGeek said its probably located in the same spot as the CB radio and by the looks of it this would not be an easy option to install anyways.

Great schematic, thanks!
I see it does interrupt the left front speaker, just like the CB.
If I ever run across another one, I've got an idea where to look and feel in the dash. Even in my local (high desert), the 80s cars have pretty much disappeared and I don't have much choice anymore on my 90s cars either.

I'm noticing the same. It used to be that the yards would always have 5+ of a given `90'* car all the time, now it seems like one or two every once in a while, and `80'* cars are all but gone most of the time.

Time to stock up on spares I guess.

Went to a pick and pull lot and pulled 2 dash harnesses out of 1989 Oldsmobile 88'*. They are quite easy to get out. My plan is to take the 2 harnesses and make one that will work for my car. Then all I have to do is pull my dash and swap in the new harness.

There was a 60 degree, 4.3L V6 (Olds design) available in '85 only, in that chassis. I personally only seen one in a DeVille. They were far more popular in A-bodies. The reputation was not good, so they were very unpopular by '85. All Olds diesels were gone for 1986.
