Tips on replacing blower motor fan?
 

Hows everyone doing? I have sort of an issue, with my blower motor fan. First off about 4 years ago I had the motor itself replaced along with the resister module. Anyways my mechanic and I had a hell of a time getting the old motor out and the new one in due to the engine being in the way. So as we went to install the new motor, we unfortunately broke a few fins on the fan part as we tried to get it put back together. So the trouble I have been having for a few years is with the LOUD noise whenever I have it switched on high. However I know the motor works on all 4 speeds, but with it now getting hot outside, the low and medium setting just isn't cutting it. So is there something that should be removed from the engine prior to taking the fan assembly out and replacing it without breaking any fins? Any tips are greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I think, right in front of the fan housing is an engine lift hook....if you remove that, the fan goes in much easier...

It would have been funnier if you left out the "lift hook" part.. :giddy:

Hahaha! Thanks guys, I was able to replace the fan with one from the junk yard and now its quiet and good as new. The old one was missing 3 blades!

Missing blades? Look for the mouse.

LOL! Nah, when I had the motor replaced a few years ago we broke a couple fins while putting it back in the hole. Whenever I had it on medium or high speed, it would vibrate and be loud as hell, but the 2 lower speeds were fine. Thankfully I got a good fan from the junk yard for $5 bucks and it works good as new now!
