Default 2002 olds alero power steering

What is the diameter of the power steering line coming off the top of the pump? I want to know if I can splice out a pin hole with a section of tube and a couple hose claps?Dose anyone know what size tube and what it should be made of to be an effective yet temporary fix??? Anyone tried this fix and have any luck with it? i just bought the car and need a cheap fix for a couple weeks. Thank you.

& therefore, get a new high pressure line installed, much safer!
Don't want air in the system or leaks/ loss of power steering.
