Default Newbie Questions.

Not really a new guy here (had a 93 ssei that died on me a few years back), but I've been long enough to be shocked by the changeover! Nice work guys. Anyway I now own a 2002 Olds Intrigue (3.5l "shortstar" with a 4t65e transmission) and was hoping to get some questions answered:

1. When my transmission is cold, it shifts normally, but when it warms up the shifts get rough no codes. I've heard that the pressure control valve is usually to blame for this. How much is the average repair cost for this, and are there any other conditions that this is symptomatic of? How long can I drive on this tranny this way (currently has 112k on it)

2.If I have to replace the transmission, how do I tell which 4t65e transmission that I have?

3. I don't have the Bose audio system installed, but is it just me or is the standard sound system a bit weak sauce?

Thanks for you guys time and expertise!

there is a trans tag on the tail of the trans that will have 2-3 letters on it. that is how you tell which 4T65-E ya need.

I've fixed a few rough shifts by taking out the shift accumulator and giving the cylinder walls a lite sanding. Look in techinfo/performance for install a shift kit, that will give you just about all the information you will need to do it.

Just to be sure, this will work okay on a 4t6e transmission?
