Default Trans Sensor or Pressure?

Back in December of 04', right after I bought my car the trans acted up twice that month. Under 1/4-1/2 throttle from a start it would go up in first and right at the shift point it would hold for a second and then slam into 2nd gear. Ever since then through all of 05' and nearly 15,000 miles it never happened again. Well, today I had to do my route for work with my car. Stop and go for 3 hours strait. Lately the trans has been shifting erily smooth. I was really easy on the gas as I was driving up and down parking lots the whole time. When I was done and going on the main road I had to take off quick from the light to get in the left lane and it has returned. Only this time it held at 40mph for a good 2 seconds before the big bang into second. Do you think its heat related, sensor, lack of line pressure, or somthing else. No SES at any time. :?
