Default 3.8 elbo gaskets dissolve

hey guy,

got a strange one, IDK, maybe you have seen this?

I noticed antifreeze leaking on the ground, so I'm looking to see where it'* comming from, and find it'* the elbo

I replaced the belt tensioner and a blown out plastic elbo with the Aluminium replacement, last April, 2016
today, replaced again

take a look, the elbo on the left, the O-rings have actually dissolved and are smeared all around the elbo no sealer was used, the orange color around the o-ring, is actually the o-ring dissolve flow

WHats up with this?

the elbo had came from Help section at aap

the coolant was Service Pro, all makes/modes green (Glockner)

They all do that. Even the older plastic ones.

Try these O-rings.

GM P/N 25537068 (AC Delco P/N 15-34066 for the 3 smaller ones, and GM P/N 24502846 is the bigger one.

They may be the ones Dorman use now, but just in case they aren't I'd go with these.
I'd not lube them when installing with anything other than clean/new antifreeze, to be on the safe side.
