Rear spring insulator/seat '98 Olds 88

I am replacing the rear springs in my 1998 Olds 88 LS and can not seem to find the rubber insulator/seat for them. I know they are worn as the car squeaks intermitently, but it stops when the seats are wet. This is driving me crazy trying to find these parts. Are there any other vehicles that have a similar insulator/seat I could actually get the part for?

I just checked the gm site they list the spring seats. They are not available though there either. I would either try lubing them or like you said see if anything else would work.

Rich, post up the part #'s. Just because they dont have them, doesnt mean no one else will or if their is an alternate part #.

Has anyone checked Rockauto.com???

I'm seeing SEVERAL listings for them.

I had to replace the rear springs in my Achieva and had the same problem with trying to find the same part as you. I called so many gm dealers and many aftermarket companies to find the part or something that would interchange with it and found nothing, so I broke down and started to keep an eye on my local junkyards and I found a few Achieva's that had the same part I was looking for and they were in good shape. I found that a 95 to 98 Achieva would interchange with the part. So I know how you feel aggravation wise. I spent a few months looking for mine.

I just looked there, but they all seem to be for the front suspension. Did I miss something, or is the hunt still on? Thanks for all the help so far everyone none the less, I do appreciate it. :thumbup2

I had the same problem to. I could only find the front ones and not the rear ones. I go to the junk yard from time to time looking for parts for my car or I go to help friends to get parts for there car, so if you don't mind I could take a look for you and see if I may be able to find somewhat of an interchange and if I do I can let you know if that is alright.

I did keep the wife's 93 Bonneville for parts just in case. It only has a little over 100k on it, but the front subframe is rusted out of it. So I guess worst case scenario I will be doing 4 springs instead of 2. I was just being lazy trying to avoid doing that though.
