Which radiator?
 

I was hoping a $5 package of JB Weld would save the day, but it did not. Cured for 24 hours and split apart as soon as the system got up to temp. Apparently the plastic expansion tanks on the rad are made of JB Weld kryptonite. Who knew?

So...gonna have to replace the radiator in the Olds, soon as it warms up a bit.

Looking online, I'm not sure how to tell what model I need. With or without engine oil cooler, transmission oil cooler, low coolant sensor, etc. I'm pretty sure I've got the low coolant sensor, as that is one of the warning lights that illuminates in the ACC position.

Is there is a quick way to tell without getting under the car in the very cold and tracing all the assorted lines, I'd be happy. The tip of my nose would even thank you for not having it nuzzle cold metal.

You should be able to tell just by looking from up top.
Obviously you are going to have the 2 large hoses.
2 on the RHS for the trans cooler, and then if you DO have an engine oil cooler, it will be 2 more lines on the LHS(drivers side)

also there will be electrical connections in sight from the top, about half way up the tank, if you have the level sensor. no electrical connections is no level sensor.

Ok. Got all that figured out.

Ordered new radiator off Amazon. No dice. Threading is too small for the transmission cooler lines to connect to.

So...who makes a radiator that ACTUALLY fits and is not priced as if it is made of gold?

Advance Auto is my parts store of choice, as they have better prices than Autozone, O'Reilly's, and NAPA in my town.

you can use advance, pay online and pickup. try p20 for 20percent or trt30 sometimes works for 30. thats what i do on big stuff so its easy to return

STRIKE TWO! and maybe three and four...

Advance auto radiator 432019 (listed as exact fit) didn't work. Threading for the transmission cooler lines was wrong size just like the Amazon one. Same with 433856 (also listed as exact fit).

2nd try with Advance. Radiator 811203 came today. Right transmission cooler threading. Oil cooler threads I don't need because I don't have one. NO LOW COOLANT SENSOR FITTING, despite their website stating it has one.

I'm not sure what I want to set on fire the Olds for being weird or every radiator I find for not fitting...but the Olds has been sitting for over a week now with its' cracked radiator in the truck and I apparently can't have one that fits right because some automotive god is pissed off at me.

This really should not be this hard to replace a common part. And the "pay return shipping" for parts listed as an "exact fit" is adding up.

i think at this point i would just rig the coolant sensor so it doesnt ding at me and use the one you have

what kind does it have? you could modify the over flow bottle to have it tell you when that is empty.
