Power steering fluid?

Changing all the fluids on my recently purchased 95 CS convertible with 3400 DOHC.
Existing power steering fluid doesn’t seem to be ATF. Darker color and thicker viscosity. Will ATF work or do I need something different? RPO codes show variable power steering.

Quick google search reveals regular P/S fluid for your year/ make. If you have the owners manual, it will specify in it.

Per page 7-41 of your manual it requires: GM Hydraulic Power Steering Fluid (GM Part No. 1052884 or equivalent).
